On the completion of 259 day of hunger strike of 10+2 Contractual Lecturers harshly Protested in front of Press Club due to apathetic attitude of the Govt.
While protesting they were raising slogans like CM Asteefa Do Asteefa Do, Dy. CM Asteefa Do Asteefa Do, Education Minister Asteefa Do Asteefa Do, we want justice etc. They Protested in such a way because Govt is unable to reach them to here their genuine grievance as they have demanding their regularization since 14th February 2017 as per Civil Services Special Provision act 2010, a Legislature passed for the regularization of all Ad-hoc/ Contractual/ consolidated/ Temporary employees but the Govt always paid deaf ears and blind eyes towards the genuine demands.
While addressing the Media Persons Mr. Arun Bakhshi said that such type of Govt seems to be against the educated employees. He said that being educated the Hon'ble CM as well as Hon'ble Dy. CM never paid any attention towards the genuine demands of 10+2 Contractual Lecturers.
Mr. Bakhshi also said that being highly educated and at the time of deficiency of Lecturers they helped the Govt and in response Govt framed Two policies for regularization. One vide Govt order No. 1301 if 2003, Dated : 31-07-2003 and by way of passing a Legislature setting a side all the laws called as civil services Special Provision act 2010 but both these policies are not implemented yet and in response 10+2 Contractual Lecturers are on chain hunger strike till date in order to get their demands fulfilled.
Mr. Bakhshi also said that he has not seen such a worst type of Govt which is against the Govt employees especially against the highly educated youth. Each and every time these type of Govt against the Jammu eccentric youth and use to give benefits to the Kashmir Eccentric people.
Mr. Bakhshi also said that in one state two yard sticks can't be used which is intolerable. After watching all this things Mr. Bakhshi also said that it is very strange to say that even the Hon'ble Governor, the legal as well as constitutional head of the state never tried to intervene in the matter even on discriminatory attitude of the Govt.
Mr. Bakhshi said that it is our humble appeal to the Hon'ble Governor to personally intervene in the matter, probe the matter and then requested to take appropriate action to resolve the issue at an earliest or otherwise Contractual Lecturers have decided to GHAERO all the Ministers, Civil Secretariat on the eve of opening of Darbar at Jammu and also to the Governor House.
